The Spring Adventure Film Festival is a new film festival on campus and will feature three action-packed programs with short films that push the boundaries of sport and endurance: from the frigid peaks of Antarctica to the harsh Empty Quarter desert, from the huge waterfalls of Mexico to the thunderous mountains of the Tetons and beyond.

The festival’s line-up includes: “The Last Great Climb,” which sees the UK’s top speed and solo climber attempting a world-first ascent of the Ulvetanna Peak in Antarctica.

The festival also features “Cascada,” a unique film which follows a team of kayakers and filmmakers who head to Vera Cruz State in Mexico in search of the perfect waterfall and the perfect shot. “Karakoram Highway” follows three para-gliders as they explore the legendary Karakoram Highway as they try to break the world record for the highest altitude and longest distance Himalayan flight.

Audiences can also expect big mountain skiing and snowboard action from Teton Gravity Research in “Way of Life,” an homage to British adventurer Wilfred Thesiger in Alastair Humphreys’ “Into The Empty Quarter,” while athletes take the sport of canyoning to a new level in “The Beginning.”
