Today there is a range of exciting events for all of our community to enjoy:

Level 0 lecture hall between Al-Jazri and Al-Kindi (buildings 4 and 5)

The decline of pollinators reveals a major environmental threat worldwide. Join Dr. Jean-Marc Bonmatin as he looks at the adverse environmental conditions currently affecting bees and what this means for our planet’s biodiversity.

Midway: Message from the Gyre
5:00 – 7:00 p.m
Auditorium (building 20)

On an expedition to remote Midway Atoll, photographer Chris Jordan discovered evidence of humanity’s impact on the environment in an unusual and shocking location. Join Chris as he speaks about his award-winning ‘Midway’ exhibition and upcoming film project. Please note that images shown in this lecture may be disturbing to some viewers. This presentation will conclude with a presentation of prizes to our community photography self-directed group.
