The Analytical Core Lab is offering a basic training course on the use and application of Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES). ICP-OES is a very effective analytical technique used for the determination of trace metals at very low concentration levels. This two-day course will offer basic understanding of ICP-OES technique and its applications. Course attendees will learn the fundamentals of spectroscopy as well as basic operation principles of ICP-OES. Important practical considerations such as troubleshooting, instrument maintenance, and other issues related to instrument operation will also be covered.
