EARTH HOUR, A GLOBAL INITIATIVE TO SAVE OUR PLANET

Today, Saturday, March 23 from 8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.,
KAUST is joining a global community of more than 150 countries to celebrate Earth Hour 2013. This event helps raise awareness about environmental issues affecting our planet, and is brought to the community by Facilities & Community.

Planned community activities include:

• Many community lights will be turned off for one hour starting at 8:30 p.m.
Earth Hour movie clip will be shown at the KAUST cinema.
• The award-winning documentary film An Inconvenient Truth will be shown free to the community at 6:45 p.m. at Discovery Square.

Take part in the Earth Hour celebration by switching off unnecessary lights at your home for one hour starting at 8:30 p.m.
