A new speed limit of 80 km/h is now in effect along King Abdullah Boulevard, between KAUST Gate 1A and Highway 5. Speed limit signs have been installed in both directions.
Motorists approaching KAUST from Highway 5 are reminded to reduce their speed as they exit the highway and observe the new 80 km/h limit. The speed limit also applies to vehicles travelling from KAUST towards the highway, as indicated on the map below.
We encourage all road users to remain attentive, drive responsibly, and adhere to posted speed limits, including those within KAUST, to help ensure the safety of everyone, particularly pedestrians and cyclists.
