As residents begin moving into the New Housing Complex (NHC), Campus and Community (C&C) is expanding transportation services to help staff commute to and from campus.
Starting July 1, NHC resident staff will have access to a dedicated work haul bus operating between the New Housing Complex and Building 16.
Bus schedule:
Morning: The morning service departs from NHC at 7:30 am. and arrives at
- Building 16: 7:55 a.m.
- CSAB: 8:00 a.m
Afternoon: The return service departs from
- CSAB at 4:50 p.m.
- Building 16 at 5:00 p.m.

Taxi services:
To support residents beyond the scheduled bus service, taxi services will also be available within the NHC complex for additional transportation needs. Booking can be made through the KAUSTCentral app or by direct email to:

Why does the bus schedule only include two timings? How can people without cars access the campus for other activities, such as going to the gym, swimming, or even visiting Tamimi?
It would be greatly appreciated if an additional bus service could be introduced with more frequent departure times and routes that connect to other locations within the community and the campus. This would make transportation much more accessible for those who rely on the bus.

It would be greatly appreciated if shuttle buses with different schedules could be provided between the NHC and other locations within KAUST. I work in shifts, and the current bus schedule is not suitable for my working hours.
Especially considering the deduction of the transportation allowance, we kindly request that additional shuttle bus services with more flexible timings be provided to better accommodate employees working different shifts.

Hi, I would like to kindly suggest increasing the frequency of the bus service, as the current schedule only offers two departure times. Introducing additional departures, ideally every two hours, with stops at key locations across the community and campus, such as the gym, swimming pool, and Tamimi, would greatly improve accessibility and convenience for residents who rely on the service.
