In our commitment to enhancing campus security and streamlining facility management, KAUST Security is transitioning all access control to the VMS (Facility Access System).
To ensure system alignment and maintain accurate, auditable records, all facility access granted through legacy or manual methods will be revoked on April 15. We kindly ask all users to re-register their access through the VMS to avoid any service disruptions.
Who is affected
- Any user whose current facility access was granted outside of the VMS.
- Any existing access that is not linked to a currently approved VMS request.
Required action
To maintain your access, please complete the following before April 15.
- Log in to the VMS (Facility Access System).
- Submit your facility access request and ensure it is fully approved before April 15.
- Verify that your access is active and reflected correctly in the system.
How to submit a facility access request
- Access the VMS and enter your KAUST ID.
- Click on “Add Facility” and select the specific room.
- Choose the appropriate door from the drop-down menu.
- Select the correct approver and specify the required access timeframe.
- Provide a brief, clear reason for the request to assist the facility owner’s review.
- Finalize the request.
Important: To prevent any interruption to your daily operations, please submit your requests as early as possible. Access not supported by a VMS record will be automatically removed after the deadline.
