KAUST is a member of the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN), which is currently running a global biodiversity photography competition for campuses worldwide. The Office of Sustainability and HSE invite the KAUST community to submit their best biodiversity photos taken on the KAUST campus. Whether you are an avid photographer or simply enjoy capturing nature, this is an opportunity to showcase the biodiversity around you!
Winning images: International showcase
An international jury from the universities in the ISCN network will judge all submissions based on public voting, content, and originality. Winning photos be featured on the ISCN website and in an exhibition highlighting biodiversity across international campuses. The exhibition will be presented at the International Sustainable Campus Network Conference 2026, held April 21–23, 2026, in Cape Town, South Africa.
Who can participate?
All KAUST community members of all ages are invited to submit photographs that capture campus biodiversity and reflect diverse perspectives across KAUST. They accept photos that show we are on campus, combining natural, built, and human environments.
How can I submit?
Complete the ISCN Biodiversity Photography Contest Form, then send an email confirmation with your submission link to sustainability@kaust.edu.sa.
Submission deadline
The call will remain open for three weeks, closing on February 28, 2026.
