As the month of Ramadan is expected to begin on Wednesday, February 17, Campus and Community (C&C) would like to wish everyone Ramadan Kareem. May this Ramadan bring joy, health and prosperity to you and your families.

During the holy month of Ramadan, operational hours are adjusted for retail shops and restaurants, off-campus buses, recreation facilities and programs, and more. Learn about these changes below:
KAUST mosques and Taraweeh prayers
Ishaa and Taraweeh (special night prayers) will be performed in King Abdullah Mosque at KAUST. Both male and female prayer areas will be available to the KAUST community.
During Ramadan, the other KAUST mosques are open for all prayers except Ishaa and Taraweeh. Learn more.
Food and retail operating hours
The food and retail working hours are updated regularly on their respective pages on the C&C website. Please check the Restaurant and Retail pages often, as timings sometimes change throughout the month.
Special Ramadan offers
Many of our restaurants, retailers and service providers have special iftar promotions during the month of Ramadan. Check the offers page to learn more.
For non-fasting community members
Food and restaurant options that are open at lunchtime can be found on the restaurant page. This information includes the opening hours of the Campus and Facilities Diner and other restaurants open for breakfast and lunch.
We would like to remind community members who are not fasting to refrain from eating, drinking, and smoking in public areas.
Recreation
All recreation centers other than the Island Recreation Club and Safaa Golf Club will have an adjusted time for Ramadan and will be open for a longer time at night. Outdoor Fields and Astro Pitches will stay open until 12:30 a.m. with the last booking taking place at 11:30 p.m.

KAUST Health
- KAUST Health Clinic hours will remain unchanged, operating from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday to Thursday.
- IMC and First Clinic will be operating through three shifts:
Evening shift from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Afternoon shifts from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Evening shift from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- The Patient Liaison Office schedule will also be adjusted accordingly:
First clinic: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
IMC 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
Transportation
The schedules for buses have been adjusted and are available to review on the Bus Services page.
Makkah buses will be offered on a daily basis and Madinah buses will be offered every weekend. Learn more here.
