KAUST Discovery Cinema
Calling all adventurers, outdoor enthusiasts, and lovers of extreme sports! Join us on Monday, February 9, at 6:30 p.m. at the KAUST Discovery Cinema for the screening of Seven Summits, an inspiring documentary about climbing the highest peaks on each continent.
Following the screening, enjoy a live panel discussion featuring three of the Arab world’s most accomplished mountaineers. Listen to firsthand stories from athletes who have stood where few ever will and discover what motivates climbers to keep moving forward despite all odds.

Meet the panelists
Dr. Badr Alshibani – an accomplished Saudi mountaineer who has completed the Seven Summits challenge in 2022.
Mona Shahab – a Saudi mountaineer who gained regional recognition as the second Saudi woman ever to summit Mount Everest.
Sherief El Abd – an Egyptian mountaineer and outdoor leader who became the second Egyptian to summit Everest and the first Egyptian to reach the Ama Dablam mountain peak.
