The KAUST Research Conference: Frontiers in Energy Storage 2026 is scheduled to take place at the KAUST Library, bringing together leading researchers, industry pioneers, and policymakers from around the globe to address the full spectrum of energy storage solutions, from electrochemical batteries to hydrogen and subsurface systems.
Under the theme Unlocking the Future of Power: A Unified Approach to Energy Storage, the three-day program moves beyond traditional silos of “batteries vs. hydrogen” to present a unified vision of storage as a multi-layered architecture. Plenary sessions explore how Electrochemical Energy Storage handles the pulse of the daily grid, while Chemical Storage (Hydrogen/Molecular Vectors) serves as a deep reservoir for seasonal resilience and heavy industry. Additional sessions examine Subsurface Innovation and Smart System Intelligence as integral components of a resilient and sustainable energy ecosystem.
Agenda
A detailed agenda, including session times and speakers, is available on the conference webpage.
