HSE Road Safety update: How to report traffic violations

An important part of ‘Keeping KAUST Safe’ is supporting road users to follow all safety requirements to achieve our collective goal of the Four Pillars of Road Safety – having no road traffic accidents, injuries, or violations in KAUST.

Any member of our community who sees a traffic violation (or a possible violation) of the KAUST Road Safety Code is encouraged to report the incident immediately to Security.

Violations include:

  • driving without a valid driver’s license,
  • speeding,
  • not stopping on STOP,
  • failing to use seatbelts (including passengers),
  • using handheld mobile devices while driving.

How to report a traffic violation to Security

At KAUST, anyone in the community can report traffic violations.

  • For incidents that are “in-progress” now – Call 911 (Landline) or (012) 8080 911 (mobile) immediately.
  • For incidents that aren’t in progress, use the Traffic Complaints feature on the KAUSTCentral app. See the full details in this post. Alternatively, you can fill out the Traffic Complaint form.

Providing accurate and complete information when submitting a report enables Security to follow up and investigate effectively. Missing or inaccurate information may delay or limit the investigation.

Thank you for Keeping KAUST Safe.
