Early detection is the most effective way to save lives — and this October, KAUST Health is encouraging eligible community members to book their breast cancer screening.
Did you know?
- Early-stage breast cancer has survival rates of over 90% (5 years) and 85% (10 years).
- Mortality has decreased by 40% in recent decades thanks to screening and awareness.
- Early cancers often show no symptoms, making screening vital.
- A mammogram is safe: it exposes you to less radiation than a month of watching television.
