Introducing KABGO: A new way to ride on-demand

In partnership with SAPTCO, the Campus and Community (C&C) Transportation team is excited to announce the launch of KABGO—the new app replacing the previous Rekab service. This upgrade is part of our ongoing efforts to improve service efficiency and enhance the user experience across our services.

Please delete the old app and download KABGO today from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

When can you ride?

KABGO is available 7 days a week during non-peak hours:

  • Weekdays: 6:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.
  • Weekends & Holidays: 6:30 a.m.–1:00 a.m.

Key features & tips

  • Book for multiple passengers—even if you’re not joining the ride.
  • Booking is required—we recommend using the KABGO app.
  • No smartphone? No problem. You can also book by calling the SAPTCO Helpdesk at 012-808-5222
  • Plan ahead: Request your ride 15–20 minutes early to increase your chances of timely pickup.

This change is part of our commitment to providing a modern, flexible transport experience that meets the evolving needs of our community. To explore all available bus services at KAUST, please visit transportation.kaust.edu.sa

Hello, since the recent update to KABGO the bus pickup timings are very slow to update, and the live location of the bus is often lagging behind by few minutes, which makes the pickup not very smooth. The 2 minute waiting time for the passenger seems not included in the approximate bus arrival time as well. During peak times in the evening only few busses are available.
