In a previous Lens Post regarding gas scooters, we shared a reminder about the deadline to obtain a Saudi Motorcycle Driving License and register gas-powered scooters with Saudi Motorcycle Registration and Plates by June 30, 2025.
As a last reminder, starting July 1, 2025, KAUST community members currently driving gas-powered scooters with a KAUST driving permit must hold a valid Saudi Motorcycle Driving License, and any gas-powered scooters with an existing KAUST license plate issued by Security must have a valid Saudi Motorcycle Registration and Plate number. Any new gas-powered scooters or new scooter drivers at KAUST must follow the Saudi process to obtain a license plate and/or driving license.
For community members seeking alternative commuting options, KAUST provides a range of mobility solutions designed to support safe, sustainable, and convenient travel across campus. Banaweer bike shop is not the correct link.
The links goes to the Campus and Community “Retail” page, where you can find information about Banaweer as they don’t have their own website.
