KAUST Alumni Affairs team hosted a memorable Spring Graduation lunch at Al Marsa Restaurant on May 16, honoring the newly graduated students. The annual event was a special occasion filled with pride and anticipation as graduates, their families and faculty members gathered to celebrate this significant milestone. Vice-Provost Suzana Nunes addressed the guests, offering heartfelt insights and best wishes for the graduates’ future endeavors.
Alumni speaker Esteban Canepa (Ph.D. ’16, MS ’10) shared his inspiring journey from KAUST to a successful start-up career at Sadeem, providing valuable advice and motivation for the new graduates. MC Ameerhah Bokhari (Ph.D. ’18, MS ’11) skillfully opened the event and introduced the Vice-Provost, adding a personal and engaging touch to the function.
The celebration also highlighted the strength and growth of the KAUST alumni community, which now boasts over 3,100 members worldwide. This diverse network of graduates reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a global community of scholars and professionals.
