As part of the Community Music Recitals concert series, the Blue in Red Jazz Trio and other musicians from KAUST will perform a recital at Discovery Square Theatre on Monday, June 3, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Blue in Red Jazz Trio is a jazz combo based in KAUST. With Giovanni Vorraro on guitar, Antonio Henriques on bass/double bass and Gabriele Pineider on drums, this trio plays a mix of older and modern jazz including bebop, cool jazz, fusion and even originals. Bringing blue notes to the shores of the Red Sea, the Blue in Red jazz trio aims to play and promote jazz music in Saudi Arabia. They will also be joined by guests Peter Diglin (tenor saxophone) and Michelle Havlik (singer).

The concert will open with a piano performance by Daniel Fontecha, a talented musician from KAUST. He will play contemporary pieces by Brian Crain, Frederic Bernard and Ludovico Einaudi, all inspired by nature.
