Simplified protocols for diving and snorkeling at Rabigh Beach

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Government Affairs and the Makkah Coast Guard, the processes for KAUST divers and snorkelers have been streamlined, allowing them to enjoy Rabigh Beach with simplified protocols.

The KAUST community’s safety was the top priority and the Coast Guard has approved the request to allow divers and snorkelers to access the beach without a boat and additional costs.

Diving

KAUST divers can dive at designated diving areas. They must pass through the Coast Guard station in Sarraj and submit their diving license for validation by a Coast Guard officer. Once verified, immediate approval for registration and diving is granted. No boat rentals are required.

Snorkeling

KAUST snorkelers must also pass by the Coast Guard station, present their identification and inform the Coast Guard about the snorkeling location and duration.

This is just one of many initiatives Community Life is collaborating on to bring a wide range of cultural, sports and leisure experiences for the community at KAUST.
