The main Community Life English Language Program provides an opportunity for community members to improve their English in many areas and has been a successful part of KAUST for ten years. General English is covered in the courses.
All levels are welcome, from beginner to proficient.
New session schedule
The next session will run for 7 weeks – from October 22 to December 7. 90-minute classes are held twice a week in Building 9 in the mornings.
Registration and payment
Please note the following:
- The price for the session is SAR 1035 which includes VAT.
- No refunds or reductions are given for any missed classes.
- Student numbers are limited, so register early to ensure your spot.
- Please register by October 15 and complete payment by October 18.
- Students must pay before the classes start.
- Classes with less than 5 may be combined with another class or cancelled.
- Payment can be made by card or cash at the Harbor Sports Center
English Conversation Classes
Conversation classes are a fun way for people to improve their English in a class setting, with other peers of similar ability and an experienced teacher providing valuable feedback. Conversation classes are either on a Thursday morning between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. or during the week, at night.

The next session will run for 5 weeks – from November 5 to December 7. 60-minute classes are held once a week in Building 9 or at the ECC3.
Registration and payment:
Please note the following:
- The price for the session is SAR 200 which includes the VAT.
- No refund or reduction in costs is given for any missed classes.
- Student numbers are limited, so register early to secure your spot.
- Please register by October 30 and complete payment by November 1.
- Students must pay before the classes start.
- Classes with less than 5 may be combined with another class or cancelled.
- Payment can be made by card or cash at the Harbor Sports Center
