Testing on the go The KAUST School serves the employees of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and is located in a 36sq km community on the Red Sea, 80km north of Jeddah. The KAUST School opened on October 3, 2009 and now serves more than 1400 students from Pre-Kindergarten (age 3) to Grade 12. The school is: Fully authorized to offer the three programs of the International Baccalaureate (PYP, MYP, DP) Equipped with 1:1 21st century technology, with close connectivity to the university and its research institutes Coeducational across all grades with a student body comprised of over 70 nationalities

In collaboration with Community Life, we’re happy to announce that our Elementary School Library will be open during the winter break. During this time, all KAUST residents are welcome to visit our wonderful facility and check out books.

Library Account

If your children are currently enrolled at TKS, they’ll already have an account in our library system and won’t need to re-register. 

Admission Requirements

In common with admission requirements for KAUST recreation facilities:

  • 12 years and above need to present their KAUST ID
  • Under 12s must be supervised by a parent or guardian
  • Personal visitors are welcome. They must be signed in but won’t be able to check out books.

The KAUST community is invited to participate in our annual Back to School Campaign. Formerly known as the School Kit Campaign, our Back to School Campaign is part of Social Responsibility’s Education Program and aims to improve learning environments and educational outcomes for children and teens in Thuwal and Qadimah. Your contributions help enhance student experience by providing the essential school supplies students need to succeed and start the year off right.
