10th KAUST-ANSYS Workshop – Engineering the Kingdom

The KAUST Supercomputing Core Lab presents: 10th KAUST-ANSYS Workshop – Engineering the Kingdom

Tuesday – Thursday, July 25 – 27, 2023
9:00 a.m – 5:30 p.m.
Building 5, Level 5, Room 5220

The KAUST Supercomputing Core Lab (KSL), along with ANSYS and their elite channel partner for the Middle East, Fluid Codes, is co-organizing a three-day workshop that consists of demonstrations, talks and training sessions, focusing on executing ANSYS-based engineering applications using KAUST’s supercomputer Shaheen II. ANSYS is a leader in developing and marketing engineering simulation software. This software creates computer models that, when combined with a powerful computer like Shaheen II, play a critical role in enabling both everyday, as well as extraordinary, contrivances.

The theme of this year’s workshop is “Basic Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)”.CFD is a powerful tool that can be used to simulate the flow of fluids, such as air, water and oil. This can be used to design and optimize products, such as cars, airplanes and power plants.

The objective of this workshop is to educate engineering students, engage industrial partners, and strive towards establishing a service for providing engineering simulation solutions to other Saudi universities and Saudi industry. Anyone interested in this field is welcome to join the event and its training sessions. Although free of charge, registration is required – please register here.
